Gaining Inner Peace

Peace of mind is not the absence of conflict from life, but the ability to cope with it.” ~Unknown

Are you one of those people who keeps running behind peace of mind?

Do you feel that you tend to struggle to find a peaceful state but it does not last for really long?

Inner peace is a craving which most people have and do multiple things to achieve. Have the methods you have done worked for you?

Inner peace is a state of mind, which means it is temporary and it happens when you feel a sense of spiritual and mental peace. One feels peace when there is no discord or stress but an experience of harmony and clarity. The reality is a little different. Yes, one can definitely feel peace of mind without stress, but a consistent state is achieved by learning how to cope with it. When stress or outside situations do not affect you but empower you then you have achieved a peaceful state.

How about understanding what level of inner peace you have? From the symptoms given below, you must have at least 4-5 on a constant basis for you to feel peaceful.

1. A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences

2. An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment

3. A loss of interest in judging other people

4. A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others

5. A loss of interest in conflict

6. A loss of the ability to worry

7. Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation

8. Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature

9. Frequent attacks of smiling

10. An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it

These symptoms are a wonderful way to gauge your levels. What is more interesting is these symptoms are easily applicable as well. If you find that you are struggling with your inner balance then just pick any one from the list and attempt it. Yes, initially you will need to fake it but then a pattern will develop for you to accomplish what you want.
