Did you know your thinking power has the ability to light up a 20 watt bulb! Imagine a day full of thinking, how many bulbs can you light up? The real question is, how are you spending this thinking capacity of yours?
With this awareness that your thought has some serious capability, have you considered channelizing it for the overall success of your life vs stagnancy that you experience in life. It’s time we understand the value of our thoughts and learn how to finetune them in our favour.
Your thoughts are alive: Yes, you read that right! Your thoughts have life. Your thoughts are living, breathing energies which come to reality based on how much focus you give it. The more you nurture a particular thought, the more life you give it. It doesn’t matter whether you are nurturing a positive or negative thought.
Thoughts can create magic: Your thoughts have enormous power to shift the way you experience life. By changing your thoughts, sometimes instantly and sometimes with a little time your reality begins to change. It triggers innovation, solution, creation, and most importantly possibility.
Thoughts=Wellness: Your thoughts have a direct co-relation to your well-being. When your thoughts are positive, then your life span increases, it reduces emotional disturbances, there is a greater resistance to illnesses, can cope stress better, improves the functioning of different systems in the body. The flip happens when you are consumed with negative thoughts.
While there are many reasons for the value of your thoughts, the above are more than enough to realize that your thoughts do matter. While having said that, you should be asking me, “this is all great, but how do I work on my thoughts?” I have you covered.
- Sifting: Sift and sieve through the experiences you are having. Sift the ones that make you feel good, upbeat, positive, motivated. Think about them more, talk about them more, share them more.
- Humour: Adding humour to your life works in two very distinctive ways! One is obviously that it lightens you and puts you in a better state of mind. Lesser known fact, when you add humour to your life and find ways to lighten it, during a difficult situation it the humour makes sure that you are not letting it go into the depths of your subconscious. That way there is no trauma to be dealt with later!
- Real Magic: Setting intentions with your thoughts is what creates your reality. In our 5:05 sessions, we begin with setting an intention for the day. When you set the intention for the day, you set a tone, pace for the day. It truly begins from the moment you wake up. So, be mindful what thoughts are you waking up with.
- Lifestyle choices: Your environment, your habits, your food choices, all impact the kind of thoughts that you have. Start having an environment which is more clear, organized and see the shift in your thoughts. Choosing habits like reading, meditating, exercising, following your passions, being in nature, socializing are ways that can empower your thoughts. Have you noticed that some foods make you sluggish, where as some get you going. So, its important to observe what food puts you in which state.
- Self-talk: Part of the Empowered: Body, Mind, Soul community we give a lot of emphasis to how you talk to yourself. If your self-talk itself is de-motivating then your thoughts create upsetting realities but when you talk to yourself with kindness, in encouraging tones then opportunities start showing up.
